Mixology Market First Look & Happy Hour Launch Party

Join us for a weekend full of fun events as we introduce you to our new Mixology Market in the Storefront Room and Happy Hour in the Backstage Lounge all at Barrel 118

WEEKEND HOURS & DETAILS:

  • THURSDAY: Hours 5 -8 pm. HAPPY HOUR! Enjoy craft cocktails, wine, & beer in the beautiful Backstage Lounge. Come out to relax, sip, & shop the night away with us at The Mixology Market in the newly renovated Storefront room amongst curated art and unique antiques. Plus meet Maureen from Rustic Attitude in the Backstage Lounge! She’ll have a huge display of jewelry and clothing available for purchase all weekend.
  • FRIDAY: Hours 10 – 4 pm. Shop the Rustic Attitude Pop-up Shop while you enjoy our MIMOSA BAR with freshly squeezed juices in the Backstage Lounge. Mix and Match your favorite flavor combinations with our Mixologist! Sample combinations like Fresh squeezed orange juice and ginger liqueur topped with prosecco or maybe grapefruit juice, basil, & elderflower for a herbal/floral twist!
  • SATURDAY: Hours 10 – 2 pm. BLOODY MARY BAR with all the garnishes and fixin’s. Last chance to shop Rusic Attitude before the Pop-up Shop is gone!

The Barrel 118 Backstage Lounge is now open for Happy Hour! 

Join us as we raise a glass to toast the newly renovated space complete with comfortable leather couches and chairs, gorgeous rugs, custom-built high-top tables, and a beautiful antique bar.  Feel free to bring something to nibble on to accompany our rotating selection of wine, craft beer, and signature cocktails.

We’ve curated an exciting array of exquisite glassware, gift items, infusions, bitters, books, barware, and more!  Come shop, sip, and savor the amazing environment we’ve created.

**Note** The Mixology Market does not sell any alcohol for take-away. The Market has everything to help outfit your home bar from glassware, tools, infusion kits, juicers, books, gift items, candles, and much more!

Rustic Attitude jewelry and clothing cleverly combines a boho-sheik style, elevated fabrics and artistic whimsy with a spiritual whisper that is unique to the soul of artist, Maureen Boone, whose drive to create has inspired her personal journey as a maker for over thirty years.  Maureen will setup shop with us on Thursday from 5 – 8 pm, Friday from 10 – 4 pm, and Saturday, from 10 – 2 pm.    Visit her website. 

UPCOMING EVENTS & FUTURE HAPPY HOURS:

Going forward our dates and hours may vary slightly due to private events and staffing schedules. We aim to have the backstage lounge open at least once a week – mostly on Thursday evenings.  We are also kicking off The Art of Mixology – Craft Cocktail Classes too!  The full schedule will be available at our Launch Party. Stop by for the first chance to sign up for the full schedule. Classes will be posted for online registration week of September 9th.

Dual Vision: Art Through Different Eyes Opening Weekend

Presented by The Artisans Village Guild

Dual Vision: Art through Different Eyes is a collaboration between The Artisans Village Guild and Associated Photographers of Lake Oconee (APLO). Members of the photography club bring their best photos to a guild meeting and each guild member gets to pick up to two of them to transform into any medium of art of their choosing. This event is open to all members of the Art Guild and results in a beautiful side-by-side show in Downtown Eatonton.

Thursday, September 14, 2023 – Opening reception 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Barrel 118
Everyone is welcome to attend. This is a FREE event open to the public!

Friday, September 15 – Barrel 118 will be open 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Our Mixologist has come up with some interesting craft cocktails inspired by some famous works of art! DUAL VISION Craft Cocktails!

Saturday, September 16 – Barrel 118 open 10:00 am – 3:00 PM + Pumpkin Pillow Painting Class! We’re offering two times for this short and sweet little class. Just $30 includes all the supplies.

LAKE COUNTRY JURIED ART SHOW 2023

Presented by The Artisans Village Guild. The Opening Reception and events were held at Barrel 118 before moving to The Artisans Village Art Gallery.

Thursday, May 11
OPENING RECEPTION | 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Opening night of the Lake Country Juried Art Show. Light refreshments were available with complimentary wine and a cash bar.

Friday, May 12 – Retail Hours | 11 am – 5 pm
Wine Tasting Event at Barrel 118 | 6 pm – 10 pm
This ticketed event at Barrel 118 was held in partnership with The Oconee Cellar.

Saturday, May 13 – Retail Hours | 10 am – 5 pm
Artist Talk Event | 3 pm – 5 pm
Local artists Cathy McIntire and Debbie Anderson lead an interesting discussion about what to look for when buying art, including how to start a collection, original art vs. prints, framing, and galleries.

OPAS Soiree en Blanc & Noir

The Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) hosted its annual Soirée Blanc & Noir event at Barrel 118. Soiree en Blanc & Noir is the OPAS adaptation of the global phenomenon, Dîner en Blanc, and fundraiser for OPAS Performing Arts Education Programs.

Arti Gras 2020

Here are some photos from our first annual Arti Gras event that was held on February 22, 2020. Arti Gras is a fundraising event created to support The Artisans Village and The Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton. With widespread love for local artisans of all disciplines, it felt natural to provide an opportunity to bring the community together to showcase the talent among us, increase awareness of the artistic outlets and raise funds for continued program expansion.

GA Entertainment News Event

Here are a few photos from the Georgia Entertainment News 100 event that was held at Barrel 118 on December 12, 2019. The purpose of this event was to introduce entertainment executives from across Georgia with local organizations from Putnam County and the surrounding lake country region. This was an opportunity to welcome producers, directors, and companies interested in filming in central Georgia and show them the picturesque towns and beautiful backdrops in our region.
