Bourbon ClassBourbon & Rye – Beyond the Old Fashioned & Manhattan….

In this class we’ll revisit popular classics like the Old Fashioned & Manhattan…but we’ll explore some interesting variations like the Perfect Manhattan, the Reverse Manhattan, and the Black Manhattan as well as other drinks that feature Bourbon & Rye as the star of the show.  We’ll learn about (and sample!) a few prohibition era cocktails like the Scofflaw and the Boulevardier.   This class would make a perfect Father’s Day gift!

With each of our classes, you’ll gain the knowledge to better appreciate and hopefully recreate craft cocktails at home. We will test out different products, learn about glassware, and showcase the barware and tools available for purchase in the Mixology Market to help you outfit your home bar. We’ll share ideas on entertaining with ease by batching craft cocktails and garnishing tips and tricks to make your parties sparkle!

Where do the classes take place?  Our Craft Cocktail Classes take place at Barrel 118 in the Backstage Lounge.  We are located just off the square in downtown Eatonton at 118 N. Jefferson Avenue.  We’ll have most groups seated at the high-top barrel tables with metal bar stools.   

What’s included for the price?  Each class will have a similar style/format, but will feature instruction and samples for 2 – 4 different cocktails.  The recipes and instruction will feature seasonal ingredients, helpful tips on barware/techniques plus fun facts about the history of classic cocktails.  Some classes may feature more cocktails, but smaller tastes.   We’ll also include a recipe card/sheet with the featured cocktails for you to take home.  Depending on the class, additional cocktails may be available for purchase after class. 

Shop the Mixology Market!  After the class, you’re invited to shop at our Mixology Market in the storefront room.  In the class, we’ll feature some of the products, tools/barware and show off some of our favorite items.  This is a great chance to pick up some new tips/tricks/tools to use at home or as gifts for the coctail lovers in your live.  Click here  to learn more about our shop! 

Can I bring food?   Sure!  Feel free to bring some snacks, just please be kind and pickup/dispose of any trash after you’re finished.   Feel free to visit one of the local restaurants before or after the class!

Is there parking? YES! There is a large, free parking lot behind the venue.  There is also plenty of street parking around the venue.  Please enter through the back of the venue up the wooden ramp for cocktail classes! 

What happens if I can’t make it and need to cancel? What? Something came up and you can’t make the class? Bummer. You’ll be missed! You can transfer your tickets to another person (21+) or we can issue you a refund. However, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice so we can try to fill your spot, as last-minute cancellations may not be eligible for a refund.  We will also need to keep a portion of the refund ($5 pp) to cover our cost for the ticketing fees.

This is a special treat for all the ladies out there, but of course, GUYS are always welcome too!  Bring your Grandma, Mother, Sister, Girlfriend, Wife, or just your sweet little ol’ self to the best boozy Tea Party.  We’ll be infusing different syrups and spirits with FLOWERS and tea.  Mom always likes flowers, right?  We will sip our way through a bouquet of flavors and flower infusions in this class.  Feel free to bring some tea cakes, cookies, and finger sandwiches to make it a special event.   Your cocktail skills will blossom as we plant the seeds for so many ideas!  Guests will each receive a take-home packet of dried flowers to experiment with at home. Choose from Hibiscus, rose, lavender, calendula, chamomile, and more.
